Claude Cowork

Cowork lets Claude work on its own on your computer while you do something else. You describe a result you want, and Claude goes off and delivers it: searches through files, analyses documents, builds presentations and Excel files, navigates programs and hands back finished work.

When to use Cowork

Rule of thumb: if you're producing files — presentations, Excel analyses, documents or anything similar — Cowork is the better place to do it. You should also reach for Cowork when you're running longer analyses across different files. You'll have more context to work with, because not everything has to live in the chat — some of it sits on your PC.
