Anthropic
The name is misleading. Claude Code sounds like a tool for developers, and it is, but more and more people use it for work that has nothing to do with coding.
Claude Code is an AI agent that runs in your terminal with direct access to the files, folders and programs on your machine. That lets it do things ordinary chatbots cannot: organize hundreds of files into folders, clean up spreadsheets, build automated workflows, and work on several tasks in parallel.
This is Claude Code in its element. You describe what you want to achieve, and Claude Code navigates the project, finds the relevant files, plans the changes, implements them and runs the tests. It can change 50+ files in one operation and delegate to sub-agents working in parallel. It understands the whole codebase, not just the file you have open. That sets it apart from GitHub Copilot, for instance, which mainly gives you autocomplete.
